Looks like you’re in a bit of a pickle there UMSU

Screen Shot 2013-04-09 at 8.59.18 PMSo…I’m suppose to be working on an assignment right now. But I couldn’t fight the urge to post something about this event that just popped up.

And here my disclaimer again: This is NOT a university blog. It’s a blog ABOUT the university.

And please – divert your discussion to their facebook page:

In short, the student union is ‘celebrating’ the death of Margaret Thatcher….

Here is what UMSU president has to say about all this:

But what really got me going, is UMSU trying to justify their motion by saying that “we have nothing else to add, it’s all in student’s hands, Ur hands! Get involved in the next elections and participate in future Councils”…umm, COME AGAIN? *raise eyebrow*

“Ur”…really? I know it’s the whole Union thing, but aren’t we the number 1 university in Australia?

I look forward to read the minutes of this meeting in due course. And I look forward to election week.

UMSU – I love some of your work. But in this case…goodness! What is going on!

I’m pretty disappointed. Poor form you guys…POOR FORM.

I’m really hoping my SSAF is not contributing to this ‘celebration’.

I am so embarrassed to be a MU student right now.
