How to withdraw from a subject

It’s always a good idea to speak to an advisor from your student centre before withdrawing from a subject.

Before you go ahead and withdraw, there are a couple of things you should know.

If you are withdrawing BEFORE the census date, you don’t have to pay for the subject and it won’t show up on your academic transcript.

However, if you withdraw AFTER the census date, you will still have to pay for the subject and it will show up as WD (withdrawn) on your academic transcript.

But if you withdraw after a certain date, you will get a fail on your transcript.

And of course, there are always exceptions.

Here’s on way how you can withdraw from a subject:

Click on ‘my study plan’ on the portal

Then scroll down to ‘Step 3’ and click on the ‘subject withdrawal screen’

Then select which subject you want to withdraw from, click continue
