It’s the question everyone’s been asking – what’s going to happen to Unimelb Adventures once I graduate?
Well, it’s a great pleasure to announce that I’m handing the reins over to our new editors – Reanna Clark and Travis Lines! They have been fantastic Semester 1 sub-editors, and I’m confident they’ll do a killer job leading the way for Semester 2.
Both Reanna and Travis are in their final year of undergrad – Reanna is an Arts student and Travis is a biomed student. Please be nice to them when I disappear! My last day on the blog will be August 1 – the day of my graduation.
Here’s the extra exciting part – we are now recruiting bloggers to join our family in Semester 2!
After reviewing how we went in Semester 1, we’re creating more opportunities for you to get involved. It’s completely up to you whether you’d like to take on a larger role (i.e. sub-editors/regular bloggers) or a smaller role (guest bloggers).
Here’s (sort of) what we had in mind:
We are recruiting 6 sub-editors, a handful of regular bloggers and an infinite number of guest bloggers to join the team.
Here’s what each role is about:
You will be working in a team of six and will be working closely with the editors. You’ll be responsible for a range of things that include: brainstorming and managing blog content, proofreading and editing guest bloggers’ posts and helping to make our community the best it can possibly be.
As the title suggest – you will be a familiar face on the blog, writing a post or two a month during semester. You will be assigned to a sub-editor and will be working closely with them.
If you want to be a part of Unimelb Adventures, but only want to make a contribution once in a blue moon – this role has been created for you. Feel free to come and go as you please.
Why join Unimelb Adventures?
If you love helping other students to make their time at uni that bit better, we want you on board! Unimelb Adventures is solely built on helping each other out and we’re a super inclusive and friendly bunch.
By sharing your tips, wisdom and stories – you’ll get to make a direct, positive difference in other students’ lives. Plus, you’ll get to be a part of something big at the University and your work will be read by a huge following (we have about 600 people visiting this site with 1500+ views a day).
p.s. You don’t have to be the world’s most amazing writer (I was a horrible writer when I first started Unimelb Adventures). Rest assured that you will have a great team to support and help you out.
How do I apply?
To apply for one or more of the roles above, head here and fill out the application! Please submit your applications before Sunday 19th July, 5pm.
If you have any questions about the applications or about the roles, please feel free to drop us a line at email@example.com.
Hope you can be a part of our team!
