Look no further! The Unimelb Adventures team is recruiting for 2019, and we can’t wait to have you on board. We are currently recruiting for the following positions:

  • Assistant editor
  • Subeditor
  • Writer/Contributor
  • Social Media Manager
  • Social Media team
  • Video Manager
  • Video team
  • Podcast team

== POSITION DESCRIPTIONS ==

Assistant Editor

  • Help the editors with outreach, training, social media and content creation!
  • This may include organising training/meet-ups, selecting or queuing posts to be published, coming up with new content ideas for contributors etc.
  • As such, you’ll need to be flexible, proactive and communicative
  • Expected time commitment: 3 hours a week

Subeditor

  • Work together with contributors to make their pieces awesome!
  • You’ll be the front-facing members of the editorial team, contacting contributors in order to workshop, develop and prepare content for publication.
  • Ideally, you’ll need strong written communication, an eye for detail, and a cooperative, can-do attitude!
  • Expected time commitment: 1-2 hours a week

Writer/Contributor

  • Drive the content of Unimelb Adventures!
  • We’re generally into more light-hearted pieces! Know your audience, as they say, and not everyone is an Arts student, so…
  • You’ll need a sense of fun and creativity, strong written communication, and be able to commit to at least four pieces over the course of a year.
  • Expected time commitment: 1-2 hours a week

Social media manager/team

  • Post new articles and other engaging content onto our Facebook, and keep our Insta feed lit!
  • The manager oversees the flow of content; the team will post to either platform.
  • We’re aiming for a minimum of one post per week, with 2-3 weekly posts being ideal (this will obviously depend on the flow of content)
  • Expected time commitment: 1-2 hours a week

Video manager/team + Podcast team

  • Explore new avenues of multimedia production with us!
  • We’re expanding into new formats of content this year, and are really excited to be recruiting for video/podcast content in particular.
  • Ideally, you enjoy trying new things and have a sense of fun to bring to the team!
  • Expected time commitment: 2 hours a week
